SRC

Sicily, Italy

SRC is undoubtedly one of the most exciting natural wine producers in Sicily—a project based in Randazzo, Sicily, born in 2012 from the idea of Rori, Cinzia, and Sandra, who share a passion for wine and the north side of Etna. SRC creates wines that respect and reflect the fertile terroir of Sicily. The 12-hectare vineyard is planted with Nerello Mascalese, Grenache, Carricante, Coda di Volpe, Inzolia, and Minella grapes that grow alongside olive groves and fruit trees, all set in the woods surrounded by old dry stone walls. ‘Etna Rosso’ is 100% Nerello Mascalese from 100+ year-old bush vines grown in the soft ashen soils of the northern face of Mount Etna. The wine is energetic, with notes of unripe strawberries, dried herbs, and rose petals.
