Denis Montanar

Fruili, Italy

An easy-going, floral, and earthy white from 4th generation winemaker, Denis Montanar. Denis started producing wine in 1989, mostly sourcing fruit from his family vineyards which date back to the 1900s. His estate is located in Friuli and planted with 10.5 hectares of vines alongside fields of ancient grains: wheat, corn, buckwheat, and medicinal herbs. Montanar’s ‘Sangrigo’ is made of 100% Tocai Friulano from 35-year-old vines kissed by the Adriatic Sea. Pair with oysters or slices of Rosette de Lyon and gooey cheese.
