Claudio Plessi

Emilia-Romagna, Italy

It's winter 2023, and we would like to formally invite you to fall in love with Lambrusco. Nothing screams joy quite like cracking open a bubbly red around a table with friends. We find ourselves reaching for Lambrusco on the winter nights when we crave a red wine but need a little extra refreshment. Claudio’s ‘Lambruscan’ Lambrusco is made of 100% Lambrusco del Pellegrino. It’s dry, rustic, and roaring with character. Claudio is dedicated to cultivating indigenous and ancient grape varieties, including Grappello, Sgavetta, & Uva Tosca in Emilia-Romagna.

Pro-tip: If you want to dip your toes into Lambrusco, start off with Claudio’s ‘Muntanera’ Lambrusco Rosato of Uva Tosca. Crisp and savory, with soft bubbles. Notes of green strawberries, rose petal, and oregano. Pair it with fried chicken or parmesan-rich coiled sausage with broccolini.
