Monument is a small winery project from Tyler Magyar. It began not long after Tyler moved from New York to Oregon in 2015. He found himself spending time in the cellar with Andy Young of The Marigny, where he convinced himself to start his own label. Like every Monument wine, ‘Pollen’ is deeply romantic, structured yet vibrant, and joyful. A co-ferment of rosé of Syrah, skin-contact Pinot Gris, and lightly macerated Pinot Noir sourced from Applegate Valley. Dusty red fruit, blood orange, gentle bramble — a Shirley Temple and a Negroni had a baby. Magyar is dedicated to producing wines that are honest and thoughtful. We once had a dream of going up to a table at a restaurant and ordering a bottle of Monument’s ‘Smithereens’ for them. Safe to say you’ll dream about sharing these wines with new or old friends.
